Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5th January 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko or [paDukoor [paDuko]), is an Indian acting actress in film. She primarily appears in films that have a predominantly Hindi accent. She has won three Filmfare Awards. She is also one of India's highest-paid actors. Her name is listed in lists of the nation's most popular people; Time named her one among the 100 most influential individuals in the world in the year 2018 and gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone is the child of Badminton's champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. She participated in the national tournaments in her teens, but decided to quit in order to pursue a career as a model. She soon received offers for film roles, and she started her acting career in 2006 as the title character of her debut film Kannada film, Aishwarya. Padukone later played the dual part as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) the debut Bollywood release. This film won Padukone she won the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone's lead role of Love Aaj Kal was well received, but it was followed shortly by an unlucky setback.
