April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US, is among a select set of females who've had medals won in multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is the newest Olympian and is set to join the team in Tokyo. Ross is hoping to secure the Olympic the first medal of gold, but she's also hoping for even more. It may well be that this is her only opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. However, she is certain of taking top honors. If we perform at our very best or even if we play well I feel like we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. In addition, I'll try some chances. Ross was born in California in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa along with her parents and sister. In addition to participating in a variety of sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. As a pre-schooler she played indoor volleyball along with basketball and track. But she stood out during this game. As a time at the high school level in her university biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. Her efforts were recognized in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's National Circle of Champions Player of the Year. She also was awarded an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may have begun working together in 2017, but Ross was an experienced player at the beach before they teamed up. In fact, she's won numerous events, one of which was with an iconic volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who took home the title of world champion together with Kessy in 2009, was also a major force on world stage. The 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded the gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team that won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, took each other to take home the gold. The fate of the matter was that Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner when May-Treanor retired. They went on to compete for the bronze medal in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016 along with Walsh Jennings. In high school and the years before she hit the sand professionally, Ross balled out to the Trojans at USC while a collegiate. And her run in the Trojans' ranks was one to remember. Her freshman year in 2000 earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of award and become an All-American. The Trojans could also get to the Final Four with her help. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss in her sophomore, but was still capable of achieving the All-American award. Through the two years she played for the Trojans, she helped them achieve consecutive championships. In 2003-04, Ross was named the best collegiate female volleyball player in the US according to the Honda Sports Award. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mother Margie died in 2001 when Ross was still in the midst of being a USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. However, she keeps her parent close to the heart. Margie remains a constant source of inspiration for her in and out of the water.
